Introducing New Features – Buy Now, Notify Me, Product Collection & SEO for FTx Commerce

October 19, 2026

FTx Commerce has introduced four new features to help retailers manage their online stores and give customers more options when shopping. This FTx Commerce update includes “Buy Now,” “Notify Me,” product collection mapping, and new search engine optimization (SEO) settings.

Each update addresses a different part of online retail, from making checkout easier to organizing products and managing how store pages appear in search results.

So, what do these new features mean for retailers?

New FTx Commerce Features Now Available

The latest FTx Commerce updates cover a few different parts of running an online store, from giving customers more ways to pay to helping them find the products they’re looking for. They also give retailers more options for organizing products and managing how their stores appear in search results.

Let’s take a look at what’s new.

Buy Now: A Quicker Way to Check Out

A straightforward checkout process makes it easier for customers to complete their purchases, especially when they already know what they want.

With the new “Buy Now” feature, FTx Commerce customers can use Apple Pay or Google Pay as an alternative payment method for eligible transactions. This gives shoppers who already use these digital wallets a familiar way to pay for their orders.

For retailers, offering a quicker checkout option can help make the path from choosing a product to completing a purchase more direct. It also gives customers more choice in how they pay, without adding complexity to the shopping experience.

Notify Me: Keep Customers in the Loop When Products Sell Out

Sometimes, customers find a product they want to buy only to discover it’s out of stock. They may check back later to see if it’s available, but having a way to receive an update can make that easier.

FTx Commerce’s new “Notify Me” feature gives customers a way to stay informed. When a product is unavailable, they can sign up for a back-in-stock notification to let them know when it’s available again.

Rather than having to revisit the store and check the product page themselves, customers can register their interest and receive back-in-stock alerts when the product returns. It’s a simple way to let them know when they have another opportunity to make a purchase.

For retailers, “Notify Me” offers a way to stay connected with customers who are interested in an out-of-stock product. Someone who wants a particular product may still be interested in buying it once inventory is replenished. “Notify Me” gives retailers a way to reconnect with those shoppers when the product becomes available again.

Product Collection Mapping: Let Sales Data Guide Your Collections

Product collections give retailers a way to group items so customers can browse products by type, popularity, or other shared characteristics. Keeping those collections up to date can take time, especially when retailers are assigning products and maintaining them manually.

That’s where product collection mapping comes in. This new FTx Commerce feature lets retailers use sales data to help determine which products belong in particular collections.

For example, a retailer could use sales information to identify best-selling products or highlight trending categories. These collections give customers another way to discover products while helping retailers organize their catalogs around actual purchasing activity.

Sales trends can change over time, so having data to inform product groupings can be useful when deciding which items to feature. Rather than relying entirely on manual selections, retailers have another way to determine what belongs in their collections.

The goal is to make managing product collections less of a manual task while helping retailers present products that reflect what customers are buying.

SEO for FTx Commerce: Take Control of Your Store’s Metadata

Listing products is an important part of running an online store, but helping customers find them through search engines matters, too.

FTx Commerce now gives retailers the ability to configure meta information for product pages, categories, and collections. This lets retailers manage the metadata associated with different parts of their online stores.

Why does that matter? Search engines use information about a page to help understand its content and determine how to display it in search results. A page featuring a particular product has different information to communicate than a page covering an entire category.

With these new settings, retailers can manage metadata for each of these page types and tailor it to the content being presented. This gives them more control over how their products and collections are represented when people search online.

Metadata is only one part of SEO, and changing it doesn’t guarantee higher search rankings. However, it gives retailers another tool to support their search strategy and manage how their online store pages appear in search results.
